How I’m Planning My Holiday!

Hey babes!

Recently I’ve started the planning of my holiday so I thought I’d share my tips and tricks with you!

Let’s get straight into it!

Know where you're going.jpg

This is absolute common sense, but knowing where you’re going is something that’s super important! Are you going to just one place? are you going to multiple destinations? Figure out what your game plan is and base your planning around that.

Another total common sense tip, but make sure you budget! Can you afford flights, accommodation and experiences? If not, maybe wait a little while (I definitely had to) and then look back into it! It’s better to wait for the right time instead of being unable to do anything or struggling to afford things!

make sure you're prepared.jpg

Remember things like passports are important when you’re trying to get abroad, if you’re going to a place where you don’t need your passport (in the same country) then you don’t need to worry about this step, but I found myself in an awkward position because I actually didn’t have either of my passports valid! So definitely prepare yourself so you’re not completely stressed!

Go in stores, look online, find different sites, do everything you can to make sure you can get the best deal possible! Of course, there’s sometimes catches when it comes to cheap flights (low luggage allowance, lots of stopovers, generally crap companies) but do some research about the companies and prices!

look for things to do.jpg

Utilize the internet! Go to tourist sites and look at their articles, read blog posts about someone else’s holiday there, check out Pinterest for some things to do in places! The world is your oyster and so is the internet, check everything out and see what you’re interested in!

DAY TRIPS.jpg

During my planning process, I realised I definitely can’t afford to do things like spending a week in London, a week in Paris and 3 months in Oslo, so I decided since I’m going to be in London seeing family any way that I’d go on a day trip to Paris!

This is SUPER important.

When you’ve booked your trip make sure you pack what you’ll actually need and nothing more (if you’re like me, you’ll end up buying loads during your travels!). Get items which are seasonally appropriate too! The last thing you want is to end up sick with a cold because you didn’t bring a few coats or sweaters!

And that’s it!

What do you guys do when you’re planning to travel? Let me know in the comments because I’d love to know!
